It’s no Hunger Games.
In talking to the press today about her new film, Snowden, Shailene Woodley addressed the latest headlines about Lionsgate’s Divergent Series: Ascendant. So what’s the news? Well, the last film in the Divergent series might potentially skipping a theatrical release and being made into a TV movie.
“Honestly, I was on a plane when all that happened and I landed, and I’m like Whoa, what’s going on?!” In regards to whether she’d be part of the new incarnation of Divergent as dsytopian future teen rebel Tris, Woodley wouldn’t say. It’s all news to her.“I need to talk and find out what the details are,” said Woodley about Lionsgate’s plans for the conclusion of the feature adaptation of the Veronica Roth series. Lionsgate decided to split the author’s controversial final installment of the Divergent series into two movies, particularly in the wake of its success with Twilight: Breaking Dawn and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

I mean, it’s really no surprise seeing as the last film Divergent Series: Allegiant made only $66M stateside. Also, Shailene’s career has been kinda meh since she took these movies, though she is starring in Snowden, which is directed by Oliver Stone. So, who knows?
Do you like Shailene Woodley? Or do you think her career is on the rocks?
